031 condensor

where can I get the capacator u all talk about to replace my condensor and what is it called thanks much guys, Duke ,also anyone got any 031 AV 's they want to get rid off cheap ,parts or whole saw?

You can still get the oem cap from Stihl.

I used a capacitor.

This is not the exact one I use, but I am pretty sure it will work fine. $0.83 is worth the experiment in my mind.

You may be able to get the manufacturer (Wima) to send you a sample. If so get the 400V or 600V, MKP4, 0.22 micro farad.

I used the 600V mkp4 0.22uF with perfect results. I cannot find them at a distributor though.
