All this over gasoline. If someone wants to burn Elf racing fuel at $70.00 per gallon or what ever it is now, so be it. I would love to try some Q16, don't know if the carb will go rich enough. I do know I prefer not to breath the fumes from leaded fuel unless I have to. I know for fact that VP SEF 94 is good for 200psi saws, and VP C10 for 200-210 psi saws. Both are unleaded and ethanol free.

I had a bad experience with 110 racing gas. The stuff gummed up the piston ring so bad that the piston would fall down the bore! I had to heat the piston head to get the ring out of the groove.
I posted the incident. The most knowledgeable people seemed to think it was all the additives used to up the octane.

Get rid of your Lingenfelter "knowledge-base" because I that engineers have had a role in all that.

And may as well go back to living in the stone ages because without engineers that's exactly where we would be.

What's your point? There are people that are good at what they do and bad at what they do in all fields. That doesn't make an entire field bad at what they do. Geeze, we're on an arboristsite, there are many people in this industry that have been killed because they made a mistake or did something stupid. Does that make all arborist's stupid and accident prone? No

You give the impression that engineers are worthless and can't ever design things right, while using things that were designed by engineers. If you hate engineers so much then quit using stuff that was made by engineers, it's that simple. If everything that engineers have designed is trash then you don't have a use for it anyways, afterall, its just trash right?
