Got another one. This one has a New West piston and cylinder. This is known as a higher quality AM company. Perhaps better than Meteor. It has slant fins so don't think it is a slant fin Mahle. OEM on everything else. This has new impulse hose, fuel line, and seals as well as a fresh carb kit installed.
I put this thing together after purchasing a long block off of eBay. On inspection I noticed the recoil screw holes were M6 size so they have been drilled out. I drilled out a recoil of mine to fit. I decided to poke around some more and the cylinder and case screws are also M6. It's going to take some work to get them to strip out ever again but some considerations will have to be done before any parts are swapped over.
I believe this also have a base gasket delete since I cannot see one under there and there is evidence of sealant used there. I did not measure squish but imagine it is quite a bit since compression seems to be low at around 125psi. Saw starts and runs with authority though. Will need some new rings sometime but for now it is a runner.
Bottom of handle also has a good crack in it. I usually repair them with boatbuilders epoxy with fiberglass strands pushed into it. I could do it if it will seal the deal but my experience is that new owners usually want to do it themselves.
Wanting rid of this. Asking 350 shipped FedEx.
