Hi,
I started my tree service 1/1/2007. I have been renting chippers so far, but have been looking into buying one. A business that primarily rents lifts/booms is selling two of there rental chippers. They seem to be in good shape and have probably been maintained well, based on the quality of the rental company. Both chippers are Vermeer bc1000xl. Both are two years old.
One has 610 hours with no frills. They are asking $15,500.
The other has 400+ hours with tacometer, etc... They are asking $16,500.
I am probably going to make an offer, on the 610 hour one, of around $14,000 to 14,500.
My question to you is if this is a decent price?. I rented the 610 hour one and it works as good as the brand new ones I rented. Will be inspecting the whole machine today.
Thanks,
Johnny Rotten
