I was talking to an old timer to day that was telling me about the time he cut out on a pole @ 35' (a very chewed up one) and wasn't snapped in yet, then he showed me the scars on his chest from where he slid down the black jack:eek: 20 years latter he still has the tats from the creosote:eek:

The pressure treated poles are a killer too!
I have the option of hanging a rope now if I feel a need for it.

Budroe!!

How ya makin' out on the gaffs? Talk to us, buddy! Or I may have to come down to Vero and see for myself! :D

i've been practicing on the utility pole out
front. i've been going up and down and around

getting super frustrated so i ditched the spikes
and climbed my 50' live oak:D
practice, practice, practice!!!!!! they're clearing
out the woods next to us starting next week so
i'm going to climb some "condemed" trees. i'll
let you know my progress.

You need to find a pole climber to give you some tips.

This is one of those things where having instruction is so much better then self training. The body posityioning is somewhat counter intuative.
