Just wondering if a 365 in that age range is a good saw? I have a 1987 266XP and it has been a beauty.

I have a 2000 365 special here. Its a great saw, and as said above you can turn it into a 372 real easy if you want more power..
The special is the better one to have in the early 365/372, closed port cylinder and it has the side tensioner, the standard early 365 had an open port and no side tensioner, I like my side tensioners. The ones without can be upgraded as mentioned above with a 50mm bore piston or the factory xpw 51.4mm bore, the side tensioner can also be added.
