257 top end help

i have tried searching for a thread already discussing this but i can't find anything. i got a 257 with a burned up P/C i wanted to know whats the bigst top end i can put on this badboy. i was thinking 262 then i saw some talk of converting 262 to 272? any help would be much appreciated.
