261c over reving?

Hello, I have an ms 261c that I did the red beard saws filter kit and the 3 louvre muffler mod on And reset the mtronics. Factory spec says max rpm is 14k. My tach shows 14,500. Could just be a cheap inaccurate tach, or is it possible for an mtronics saw to let itself over rev? I don’t have any trees down right now to do cuts to let it try to tune itself and I don’t want to try dropping a tree with it and risk burning it up. Any input or advice would be appreciated
