371 gas leak

I have 2 371xp's and they both have the same problem. When I fill the fuel tank, gas starts pouring out of the carb. won't stop untill you put the fuel cap back on. Put rebuild kits in both of them and it didn't help. I'm scratching my head here. Any advice would be happily accepted....

The problem is not logical.Gas cant pour out of carb and stop when fuel cap is back on.Check if its not fuel hose that is cut or your air vent is correctly installed.I dont believe gas is coming out from carb.

1.- Make sure the inlet needle lever height is correct in the carburetors.

2.- You probably need to replace the tank vents. These have a limited lifespan and they're only $3 at a dealer.

3.- Make sure the fuel lines aren't cracked from age.

Yep fuel line cracks in the pig tail like fuel line. Mike
