$$ an object????

It just occurred to me that this guy is parting with 50 trees. The logger should be giving him a nice little wad of cash to go buy a nice saw with, right? I hope he isn't getting the "tops" as payment cuz they are gettin left by most guys anyways or chipped in return for no cash on the trees. At least thats how they do business here.

Newfie, he's getting cash for the logs.....I don't think they are high quality logs...so I don't think he's getting a whole lot. The logger that is taking the trees runs a sawmill a few miles from my house. Not sure what they will be used for...rough cut lumber, skids, etc. I'm sure they aren't veneer grade.

I wasn't suggesting that he was gonna be rich but that many trees yeilding 2 logs per can add up to some BF and maybe a 357xp? :D

12" DBH with 2 16' logs per tree is 100BF as 50 trees = 5MBF

$300MBF=$1500. Maybe he not paying as high per BF
