I have seen the 555 at 3.2 hp and the 562xp as much as 4.8 hp . Can anyone tell me if they are that far apart? FWIW I also saw the 555 at 4.4hp but it was the husky web site at 3.2? Any help out there?:confuse:
I think the 555 is 4.3hp and the 562 is 4.7hp.
IIRC the 555 is supposed to be 4.2hp. I don't know about the 562xp but I think it's 4.7hp. Either way, I believe there will be about .5hp between them.
Husky state a mix of hp(m) and hp(i) - not exactly the same thing, but both are bhp.
With rounded off numbers, the 555 is 3.1 kW = 3.2 hp(m) = 3.15 hp(i)
The 560xp and 562xp is 3.5 kW = 4.8 hp(m) = 4.7 hp(i)
Check your math on the 555... :msp_confused:
I just did, and found no reason to change it. I printed 3.15 on purpose, just to illustrate that there are a difference between hp(m) and hp(i), also in that case.
Just a note; Since the kW numbers also are rounded off, this will of course never be 100% accurate.
No, you really need to check it!
3.1kw = 3.2hp
Then you put
3.5kw = 4.8hp
Since the original announcement on Husqvarna's website, the 555/562XP have gained comparable amounts of both mass and price, lol!
The original figures for the 562XP laid out a staggering power : weight ratio, even moreso for the 560XP based on the assumption that it weights about the same as the 555. As it is, the 562XP looks to be more evolutionary than revolutionary.
