I love a 61 husky, especially if I find it for $25 with a good bar and chain.

The 61 Husky I own has been a fine saw. It is still my firewood saw after 20 years. Absolutely nothing has been done to it. Knock on wood!

I've had my 61 since September of '86, and it has never let me down. It is a great saw.

i have looked for a saw for years to be the same as our 1983 husky 61
it has been used very hard for its whole life never had issues
only complaint is the starting w/out copression release
im certain this saw is the reason all of the have a release nowdays
after it starts hold on possible the best saw ever made (except the
372xp) which is a newer version of the 61 old data says its 4.4 hp but it seems like more to me GREAT GREAT GREAT SAWS!!! (in my humble opinion)
