For those of you who have pictures of bugs and damage to trees...

Hi,

It’s good to hear from our users to find out what they like and don’t like about our sites. We try to make sure that if we enter an image, there is at least a genus with the image. We ask our contributors to provide the scientific name, host, location, and any pertinent notes about the image. Unfortunately, we do get quite a few images that only have the subject identified to family or do not include any identification. When this happens, we try to identify the image to the best of our ability and ask the photographer for more information.

There are older images in our systems that do not have any identification listed. As these re-surface, we try to fix the issue. We will go through the oak gall images and try to identify them. If we cannot, they will most likely be removed from the system until they can be identified. If you happen to have some images that would be useful, please consider contributing them to our archive. It helps us greatly to continue improving this resource.

Thanks again for your comments,
