The oak was a little harder than it looked. I had to cut it high, because there was a fence post that would have interfered with the saw otherwise.

Hmmm!

The first thing i was going to ask was why you cut it so high but i guess you answered that my next question is what is your bull line rated for i pull a lot of trees over the same way but im always worried about rope failure! Do you use 17000 lb bull line and what kinda tourqe is that skid steer putting on it?

I like it. Skid steers are awesome for tree work.

Can you tell me a little more about rigging the line for side tension on the second tree, to keep it off the house. Did you just tension it and tie it off, and crash the tree, or did you run it thru a lowering device like a portawrap and let the rope run as it fell?
