1. What parts (and numbers) do I need to change to stiffer buffers on a MS441?

2. Any special tools needed for the above change?

3. What parts do I need to change a 044C to a standard 044? We had a few
C models at the FD. They were not reliable and I like things simple.

4. I would like to change (I think) the stock clutch cover on my MS660 to a full wrap cover. I don't even know if this part is made but am guessing it is. I will need the extended rubber flap too, I hope.

Thanks in advance. My local Stihl shop is very good but ordering parts is much easier when I walk in the door with the part numbers.

I just posted thread about 044c You would have to remove the muffler and replace it and probably retune saw. According to Stihl this model had a catalytic converter on it, which probably made it hot, less powerful and less reliable. for more information check my threads. thanx Good LUck

Thanks but this IS a two year old thread. BTW the 044C is a POS. A deal came up and fell through for two of these saws. When I was the saw specialist for the fire dept we had nothing but trouble with the 044C. I don't know what I was thinking.
