Know you guys enjoy pictures so here you go. Dropped about a 26" dead oak tree and a smaller american elm with dutch elm disease. Had a friend of mine help me who does tree work professionally. The oak tree was leaning back into the woods and had to be dropped so it did not smash another tree or my wood piles. He roped and blocked it and it fell exactly where we wanted it. What was really nice is he took the time to tell me how/why he was doing on each step. So it took a long time, but we well worth it to me.
If anyone wants to play the "guess how many cords" this makes, I already know the answer and can post it in a day or two.
