A good laugh, was going to buy a saw off a guy today. Warning foul language.

A guy listed a Stihl ms311 today for 400.00 or best offer. I have been thinking of picking another saw up so I contacted him. Right off the Rip he drops the price to 300.00 but I have a few concerns with him listing it in excellent condition and only 6 months old.

I only asked the guy how hard he had used it because it looked liked it had been worked hard. He became very defensive and blocked me from private messaging him back. So I posted on his ad and this is what transpired.

Not saying how he reacted was appropriate but if someone posted on my for sale ad that my item looks like it was "worked pretty hard" I might get a little irritated too. Probably could have asked him that through a private message. That saw doesn't look beat to me, just looks like someone used it for cutting wood like they are intended. My bar on my 271 looks worse than that and Im pretty particular with how I use my stuff.

That sucks because at $300 I think that is a decent deal for that saw. If done through PM I don't see any fault in you asking that question.

I have a bar from 2011 when I was cutting firewood just saws vs processor that looks like that. It probably has 50+ cords on it.
