I have a 34 ton Champion log splitter. The valve has been acting up lately and auto return no longer kicks off. I've adjusted the kick off detent, but no matter how light I make it, the valve does not kick off. I can just barely nudge the handle with my finger and it'll kick off, but if I don't touch it then it doesn't kick off. I also took all of the detent rings, balls, springs, etc. off and cleaned them up and greased them. Didn't change anything.

I tried adjusting the relief pressure, but even bringing that up doesn't do it. It just bogs the engine down so I returned it back to where it was.

Are there seals on the inside of the valve body that might go bad and can be replaced? Other thoughts? I'd prefer not to buy a whole new valve body.
