Guy has an Makita 6400 that needs a clutch cover and recoil cover wants 75.00 for it. Says it has had about 10 tanks of fuel through it. Worth fooling with? I have no Makita/Dolmar dealers close but sure would like to have one.

I don't know all the particulars yet waiting for him to send me some pictures. Says he pulled the cylinder and all looks new. Are parts hard to find for these saws?
Nah that's a terrible deal. Tell him you'll give him $50 for it then I'll send ya $75 for it for your trouble. 
New parts are available. Might do better to wait for some on Ebay or here.
Why did he pull the jug ? Lots of curious info. so far.
Says he was going to keep it and put a bb kit on it then priced new clutch cover and recoil from his dealer and it was going to be more than he wanted to spend. Says he is sending pictures womorrow.
