Picked this 015 L up today and would like to know what your thoughts are on it. Cosmetically it’s in decent shape with a small crack in the corner of the clutch cover and some paint wear on the bottom. I believe that is the original bar on it? Correct me if I’m wrong please.

After bringing it home I got it started in 3 pulls and it runs great maybe a tad rich. The research I’ve done shows the points are known to fail and are NLA, is this true? It sounds like this was is a pretty common saw too? Bummer, well I think it’s pretty neat. I dumped 50 bucks for it figured why not

All points wear our at one time or another. This saw looks very low hours so it's very likely they are still in good shape.
It's very likely you can still find something that will fit among vintage car/motorcycles points, but don't expect them to be cheap. Even the failure-prone, poorly designed cheap and nasty points used on old Citroen engines are €10/each these days. Genuine NOS Bosch points sell for insane money.

And yes, it was a common saw.
