It looks like some of the factory made bandsaw mills have v-belt pulleys for drive wheels. I would like to know how you get a v-belt the right size onto the pulley. I also have seen in supply catalogs, not sawmill parts, they have polyurethane belts sold by the foot, can these be glued in the pulley and used on a sawmill?
 
I used v-pulley's when I built my mill. I use a belt that fits tight on the 19" wheels. Use "Go-Joe" or a similar hand cleaner for lube, and a couple of screwdrivers to get them on. Tight fitting belts last longer than loose ones, and if you use a v-belt be sure the back is rounded, or you'll have tracking problems.
Suffolk Machinery sells a "polly" v-belt that works extreemly well on these wheels. Thats all I use anymore.
