Most around here are running 3/8 x .050 RSC Chain and 25" Bars.
But I sold one to a numb nutz by the name of WoodChuckr, and he got it with heated handles
and 20". Then he wanted some big spikes on it and a big clutch cover too! Heck he even wanted one of those
new pretty black air filters put on it too.

I run 28" .050 full skip with either a Stihl lightweight or the Stihl wide nose. If I need a shorter bar I use the 20" on the 044 and if I need longer I use the 36" on the 066.

what no roller catcher??!?!?!:msp_scared:

I have a 460 rescue model, came with a 20 inch es bar 3/8 x /63 , took the carbide off it and put full chisel on, run it like that most. Have ran it with 16/18/ bars and other tooth drive sprockets when loads of small logs were delivered.. Have a brand new 25 ic es bar that has yet to be ran as I have not had trees that the 20 couldnt handle..

I vote 20 in 3/8 x 50 for ease of getting chains etc

Should you run the sponge filter inside the HD too?
