bar oil...cheap vs arm and leg

The smelly stuff is on sale this week for $4.99 in a non-sponsor, orange, fleet and farm type store in the upper midwest.

I have a jug I have been trying to use up. Today, while cleaning my saw after cutting at the WI charity firewood event, all I could smell was that stuff - even over-powered the 2-cycle smell. I think we need Avon to make some scented bar and chain oil with a manly musk scent.

'Axe' scented bar and chain oil might be confusing. Maybe English Leather? Old Spice? Bar and chain soap-on-a-rope?

I'd put in a vote for old spice original.

In all seriousness the odors of things when I'm cutting do bother me. Especially when it's hot and humid out. Ultra gives me a headache.
 
Actually the cheaper sometimes equates to thinner, which works well in the winter. But you are correct in your assessment

Its a matter of viscosity
usually the dearer product exhibits more of this desired quality:msp_tongue:
