yes

With a sprocket nose you must use a chain with the same chain pitch as the nose whereas with a roller you can use any pitch i.e. 3/8 or 404.

FWIW In the last 5 months I have had 3 CAT scans, an Ultrasound, a PET scan, 6 rounds of blood testing, visited the GP about a dozen times and seen 3 specialist (Kidney, Neurologist twice , Lung). The PET scan cost ~AUS$1500 and the CAT scans are ~AUS$550 each. I've paid for slightly less than half of two of the CAT scans, while the blood tests, and other scans were fully covered by compulsory medical Insurance. The specialist visits are about $350 and I get just under half back from insurance, The GP visits are $80 - $120 each and I get back ~ 1/3rd from insurance. During the same time I've also accrued about AUS$2000 worth of dental expenses which additional private medical insurance has reimbursed about half.

I have also now reached a medical expense threshold for the year whereby the government medical insurance will cover a bit more on GP and specialists visits and all my scans for the rest of the year are fully covered. I will probably have some hospital expenses in the next few months so with private MI I could use a private hospital (less waiting) but the public hospitals are just as good.

I know this is many month later but I just found this thread. I want to wish you the very best. My stories of health conditions don't match yours, but enough family members have. I can relate. Thanks BobL for sharing so much in all these forums.

Cheers Arrow13. I have since had more scans and blood tests. The blood tests show a slight improvement but according to the Radiologist my scans show major increased activity but no spread of my condition. My Lymph nodes are so active that by rights I should be bedridden or at least in a wheelchair but I feel just a little tired - but no more so than I have in the last few years,

The docs are a bit bamboozled by how well I feel and are not going to do anything unless I start feeling poorly.

Glad to hear you're still kickin' and cuttin'! Appreciate the update on your health. Keeping positive must be helping you stay upright. That''s a wonderful thing. Working outdoors has to help too.

I noticed your avitar, are you posting less on AS now?
Another question, if you have time...
Have you ever milled with a McCulloch Sp125?

Dumb lazy bastiges for doc's. While the cost to you is lower is when I'd ask for more different testing of perifereal (sic) associated conditions that may contribute. I've been after VA meds here to shoot chicken shots into my hips while cartiledge is there for it to cling to. I hope to avoid hip replacement. Knee replacement showed me what a crapshoot replacement surgery can Be.
Wish the best for you Bob, spiritual thoughts

Yeah haven't cut anything for over a year now.
Lots of family type distraction like babysitting our first grandson, sorting out mums old house for sale.
I am a member of a local community "Mens" shed/shop and was supervising one day a week up until a few months ago.
During 2016 I constructed some of the ducting valves and bits and pieces and installed the Community Shed dust extraction system.
Other Community "Mens" shed/shops have been to look at that dust extraction system and have then asked me to consult on their systems.
I spend a fair bit of time in my home shop doing all sorts of construction/repairs/experiments/testing.
This is my latest build in my home shop.
An overhead table saw guard made from ally and polycarbonate with full 4" extraction.

Those large pieces of ducting in the background are 9" ducting that I use for testing air flow through ducting junctions etc

I would like to!
