Bar tip for large mount Stihl

I have a 41" .063 .404 RoloES bar for my 084. I want to put a 3/8 sprocket tip on it, PN 3002 000 9757. What are my options and the part #s? Also, would you recommend full comp, skip, or semi-skip for best performance. Keep in mine this is a modified saw and will be turning a lot more RPMs than stock. Number of teeth to sharpen doesn't matter to me and I won't be boring with it.

If I recall he had Bailey's or Madsens install an aftermarket tip while he was out there. I was hoping to just order one from the dealer.

When I got my 880 I bought a couple ES bars for it and had the dealer swap in the Stihl ES 3/8 noses (black). That same dealer stocks lots of long Cannon bars (I've bought three) and unless they special order them they come with 3/8 from Cannon (even my 60 incher).

I run Stihl 3/8 full skip square and can't imagine a better performing work chain on a 41 inch bar.

I'm in for lunch, and dug out one of my receipts. Don't know if it is the Stihl part #, but the invoice lists the part number as 3003-650-2539.

The description on the receipt is
BAR TIP STIHL 3-8 LN
(large nose, maybe?)

I think same tip (3003-650-2539) works for 3002 and 3003 mount bars.

In the dark here, really - but doesn't those tips come in both 11 and 13-teeth, that won't fit the same bars?

Not sure, but think profile of bar is different between 11 & 13 tooth.

Stihl B&C catalog lists the 3003 650 2539 for both 3002 and 3003 mount bars.

3003 650 2538 = .063 .404 wide nose

3003 650 2539 = .063 .375 wide nose

3003 650 2551 = .050 .375 narrow nose

3003 650 2555 = .063 .404 narrow nose

3003 650 2558 = .050 .375 narrow nose (25" green label ES only)

30" is the longest 3/8 Rollomatic ES for the 3002 (3002 000 9041)

If you need 36" then it has to be the 3002 000 9753 w/ the 3003 650 2539 nose.

I thought Stihl dropped all 3/8 pitch 3002 mount bars. Unless you get a hard nose bar.

Done little more digging...........for 2008 3002 mount 25" and 30" only for 3/8
