basic milling questions

Okay. I have a bunch of beginners questions about milling. I have tried a bunch of searches and am having trouble finding some good threads with a bunch of newbie info.

I really don't even know what I don't know, so I'm not going to ask any questions just yet. Please, just show me the knowledge!!!!!!!!

That book should answer just about any basic question you have. Nice to see that link being circulated around the forums. I tried updating my first post in that thread so that it's the proper link right at the beginning, but it won't let me edit the post anymore. Go figure.

That chainsaw "Bible" is a great resource, and even those of us who think we know what we are doing find great advice in it. I know I have (and I'm definitely not sure I do know what I'm doin' :( )

Along those lines though, you might want to grab a cuppa joe and read through this thread also to give you an overall picture of one way to mill.

There are many different setups for milling, and not every one fits every scenario.
