Bearing for Vermeer 252

Anyone tried using aftermarket bearings for the jackshaft and cutter wheel shaft for the Vermeer 252? I purchased some from a local bearing supply house and they are slightly different. Pillow block seat a little thinner, may require some shimming, pillow block may be a little less beefy. It's the only thing they have, apparently all that's available.

Anyone else tried using aftermarket bearings? They cost about 40% of what Vermeer gets, less than $25 per bearing, whereas Vermeer is over $60 each.

I tired after market and the bearings only lasted several months. I went back to Vermeer bearings and they have now lasted again for several years and still going.
