Belray MC1 in saws ?

Bought a mix right cup to use for my Stihl ultra oil at 40-1 and the guy working there said we have Belray MC1 on close out for $2.50 for 12.8 0z bottles would this oil be worth getting it says its full synthetic they had about 10 or more bottles should I buy it up, or just keep buying the Ultra Stihl? Thanks

They say Belray is good oil.

I believe the only difference between the MC-1 and H1R is the H1R is better for power valves

I used MC-1 (40:1) for about six months and it worked well in an 044, 046, and a 371.

I have been using MC-1 for years and have never had a problem. I would buy it!

For me the criteria are

1. for air cooled engines
2. full synthetic
3. fullfills the following norms API TC, JASO FC/FD, ISO L-EGD

If that is ok I don't care what name is on the bottle because I am on the safe side!

Some useful info

Bel-Ray HR1 vs MC-1

Both are suitable for air and liquid cooled engines. MC-1 is rated at 50:1-80:1 in motorcycle applications, H1R is better suited for lower mix ratios 32:1-50:1.

Bel Ray MC-1 is a great oil. THi soil uses this as the antiwear additive:

antimony dialkyldithiocarbamate

Been testing HR1. It smells a lot better than Stihl HD and seems to work just as well.
