Hoping to see my retiring friend today. In the meantime have been checking the BAY for dial indicators.Trying to get clarity from them as to how fine a measure they are.Heres a couple.

WOULD YOU THINK ANY OF THESE ok

Coming from the land of Starrett, plus the fact that I have a drawer full of just about every Starrett tool I could possibly ever use , I will let all in a little secret.

I have purchased Starrett tools for pennies on the dollar (even compared to ebay's prices) using the following search.

http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&dfsp=32&catref=C6&from=R40&satitle=starret&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D2&sadis=200&fpos=01452&sabfmts=1&saobfmts=insif&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=32%26fsoo%3D2&fgtp=

If you take your time with it you will come up with some of the best buys on Ebay. One of my best was a brand new digital slide caliper which retails for $380 purchased for $28 with shipping.

No chainsaw crank!

This cranks runout is 0.0......and I only handle it with clean gloves on. Just getting finger prints on it will cause problems.

Hey Dennis what does that crank go to? The pictures may be misleading but that looks like a dam long stroke......stroker motor for a saw?

Either way>>>>:jawdrop: :jawdrop: :jawdrop:
