Hi Guys;
Just had a question about cutting a log thats to big to lift into the back of a truck. Is it best to rip it fron the top or to lay it on its side and cut that way. The saw does shred much longer pieces but seems to cut with alot less struggle. Is there any best way or is it up to the cutter? It seems your chain would last longer doing the latter. Thanks

Lay the log on it's side and cut that way. You will get long curly type fries. Just make sure to keep the fries from building up. Other than that this is the best way to do it; and the easiest on your chainsaw and bar!
