What are the best air filter setups for older 0-- series stihls (e.g. 034) and 2 series Husky's? I've got a K&N on my 288 and it filters fine but is a pain to clean. And, I don't want to cut holes in the top covers. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there anything that is flocked or can be oiled? I'm going to be doing about 20 chord of dead wood next summer and have found the regular screen type filters to let too much fine gunk into the carb.

Use Stihl Fleece filters and don't oil them.. ever... Look after them and they'll last 20 years in the hands of most 5 cord/year homeowner firewood cutters.
