Until now I have always found a lot of free logs to meet my needs. But now I need to fill an order for a customer that I have no logs for. So again I need the advice from my more experienced team mates.

Whats a fair price to offer for standing Oak in Michigan?

Customer wants 8Q X 10" 16ft long so I need some big logs.

You may be able to get the information you need from your state forester or a professional forest consultant which your DNR should have a list of. They might even lead you in the direction of some big logs. You also may need a timber buyers license and liability insurance, I'm not sure.
