Can ,you ID it?

Actually looks like Chestnut Oak, about all I have around me. Not Black Walnut. Black Walnut has a distinct white sap wood and a dark heart wood, with no transition. White on one set of annual rings and dark on the heart side. Have lots of Black Walnut pics but I just haven't taken the time to figure out how to post picks since Photobucket crashed. Sawdust looks like Oak, and the bark, where it is chipped and looks reddish, looks like Oak. One leaf would have helped. Chestnut Oak has a kind of oval leaf with a saw tooth edge. Joe.

Not oak:) if I gave you a leaf it would be too easy.
You are correct about the wood chips though. There is definitely oak that has been cut recently .
