I was just wondering anyones thoughts on the carlton 4012 with the kubota 44hp diesel vs the older carlton 4400 with the deutz 44hp air cooled motor. Im just wondering if it is worth the extra 17000 to buy a new 4012 or are the 4400s pretty good machines. the 4400 has 1600 hrs on it with green teeth.

The hrs are low for a 16 yr old machine, but if it was me i would still go for new over used,it depends on how much u will be using it, if u are going to do some serious stump grinding or just piddle around once in a while,,,,,,in any event my experience over the years has not been good on used equipment...

Hope this helps..

Bob.....

thank you it does help. I might have to just keep saving and try for the 4012 with the 44hp kubota diesel
