Guys,
looking for tips on how you clean out your cases after the formerly working P/C grenade themselves(FOD in the bottom end).
Yes, splitting the case and a simple rinse is optimal but time and laziness are prevailing over prudence and knowledge. Saws are holding pressure so seals replacement is not "needed" so just wash them out with what ?
what's your "cheater" cleanout method

Hot water and soap, then air, then spray bearings with wd, blow air again, then oil them . Never fails just do it fast so it dont rust.

I haven't split a saw but have "cheated" many a teardown's either out of necessity or friends necessity, and usually in the process things get a solvent bath with brush followed by the air hose, and possibly followed by another bath of warm soapy water, sponges and brushes, followed by more air.

If you're not going to split the case, at least pull the seals. If crap gets trapped between the seal and bearings you may not get it all out just by flushing.

Then you'll just end up kicking yourself because in the end, splitting the case is required.

I use the solvent tank, but have to be careful as the solvent in there eats some rubber, like antivibe mounts. Even melts nitrile gloves.
