any of the 100.00 chain saw mills on e bay any good, they all look the same ,I just want to mill a few trees, thanks
Couldn’t agree more, I’ve even added a few extras to stiffen up my 48” Alaskan.I would recommend the Granbergs, you won't regret it - that's actually based on experience.
You might not regret anything else either - cuts your wood just as well, it's just better and more accurate with a CNC made bracket and proper attachments.
The "long nuts" are 13mm or Husky scrench size ............. yours are different ?The Grandberg is deff a better mill. Just that in Aus we get ‘rodgered’ pretty good on pricing hence my Chinese mill. The long nuts dont fit any spanners i own and the spanner was laughable. I replaced these with std 13mm nuts and spacers.
Flex? Not seeing it with a 32” bar of course so it works fine.

scrench = screwdriver/wrenchNever heard the term 'scrench' before, always called it a bar wrench..
It works well. But adjustments are slow. I made one with 5/8 rod. I wouldn’t use anything smaller than 1/2” rodView attachment 842335
I rather like this idea. Holes in the bar, and a nice straight board. Clean and simple, easy to adjust to exact amounts. Probably cost $10.
Just needs an additional oiler.

Josh, when I hit the like button, that meant I liked you, not they guy sitting on the cant. I think Daninvan started with a home made mill with spacers he could take out to get the common widths he needed. Sure miss those pics of the milling beach, hope he is doing well.View attachment 842335
