Chainsaw Races Grantsburg Fair. Aug 24th 2013

I'm not sure of the time yet.
There will be classes like we did at TDawgs.
If interested in camping, there will be an area at the Fairground available for a small fee. . No electric hookup, but I have a generator that will be available. I also have an area at my house for camping.
Demo derby on friday nite and the tractor pull on saturday night.

usually end up with 15-20 people. Seems to be growing. The head to head racing is a blast. Crowd likes it too.

What are the entry costs? And are the classes set up like we did at Hedgefest? I got spanked and my change overs sucked but it'd still be fun to go and maybe have a better operator run my saws.

Yes... Pretty much same classes and rules...

I talked to our local sawmill guy Donnie last night, sounds like within 2 or 3 weeks he wants to get out & square up that pine we cut north of the Dairy. I'll let everyone as soon as I find out more.

Donnie has been behind due to all the rain. We are looking June 22-23 to work on milling cants for the races.

Is there a descent field road to get back there? I was thinking about driving my old 47 Dodge over and hauling a pile of cants back over this way for the Pine and Rush city's fairs.
