Looking for information an a Wc-12 chipper with a John Deere diesel. We are looking at getting one as a first chipper to cut down on loaded of brush during our line clearing contract.
Thanks in advance.

I just recently sold my Deutz diesel WC-12 after a decade of use. My work was all in pine & doug fir, with just a smattering of cottonwood, willow, and assorted small deciduous work. That machine is great for green limbs that aren't too large.

Don't know anything about the JD diesel, so can't comment on that.

The thing I liked especially about the wc-12 was the simple design. Three grease zerks, no hydraulics. The chippers with hydraulic feed are subject to break down.

Keep a second set of knives on hand so you can get them sharpened while you're running the current set.
