Bought unit in Nov of 1999.

After three or four years paint on fenders and chute began to rust and look like crap.

Yesterday was informed that clutch had "Burned up" Have been anal about proper way to engage clutch so don't think was from misuse.

This is third Bandit chipper we bought and was satisfied with others.

Anyone else having simalar problems w/ Brush Bandit

TIA

was talking to a guy at our equipment rental and he said that they go all the time on their bandits but thats rental equipment but hey its just like a truck clutch they go eventually from use no matter how nice you are to them

Clutches are a wear item, like brakes on a car.
7 years on one clutch is not a bad run at all.
As for the paint, it wears away from use and if you leave it out doors then it will rust.
