Pulled the crank out of the Echo cs-400 I'm working on. Replaced everything but the crank seals because it seems to have fuel issues. Only thing left to replace that might be the problem. And the way these seals are designed, could understand why because when it got straight-gassed, the amount of steel on these seals could act like a heat-sink. The simple side came off real easy. Almost too easy. The other side (see photos), not so simple. Is the threaded portion on the oil pump side pressed onto the crankshaft? Put my bearing puller on it to use the bearing to help pull it off, but I want to be sure before I go reefing on it and break something.

It is not pressed in. If it comes off you can put back kinda like you are puttin in a oil seal. A deep well socket, hammer, and a little oil and it should go right back on.
