Crankshaft play

How much play should be in a crankshaft ( If any.)

If it has deep radial bearings (most saws), zero perceptible play.

if it has roller bearings - like the 200T etc, plenty of end float and often a very small radial movement.

Thanks Andy, i thought as much. Its a MS340 with abit of play clutch side bearing so i will get it replaced. The saw is nice and worth it. Just in the process of redoing two 036's one MS model. Thanks again you are the best.

Replace the flywheel side also... the messed up clutch side does a number of the flywheel side..
