Back up and running again...

It looks like the main problem was all that fine red dust from the bark in the air filter. Even though it looked clean, I tried blowing through it, and it was very difficult.

New filter, readjusted the carb, and it's pulling strong again. Thanks everyone for your help.

BTW: Here's a few pictures of the 14" x 4.5" x 12ft beams we made:

Sides trimmed off with mini-mill:

End Grain, cut from from 20-22" diameter Douglas Fir logs:

Stickered and stacked ends sealed with thick latex paint:

These will be finished down to 11" x 3.5" once they are dry, and will become interior stair treads for our house.

These will be finished down to 11" x 3.5" once they are dry, and will become interior stair treads for our house. Just need about 3x this many pieces for all the treads.
