Been awhile since I posted here but thought I would share. I Bought numerous 390’s and 395’s this week along with some MS 460’s, 660’s and 661’s. Most of these saws had scored pistons and cylinders. Wonder why?

390 and 660 cylinder pics of someone’s custom porting.

Everyone can port just buy a Dremel. Lmao.

Why I prefer to take in trade stock saws. Some of the crap I have seen isnt even right and hacked or saveable. Unless by a porter I trust.

Some well known porters I would rather take in stock too. Just because I know how they do them. Dont want nothing to do with their saws.

Got a sign for that.

Over the years on this site there have been a ton of absolute hacks. There are only a few people I trust to port a saw and @huskihl is one of them.

Yep he is on our trusted porters list for CRG members to know who to choose from. ;) Even his pics used in thread.
Yeah, wtf? Everybody else chickened out on the pics. I figured there’d be 15-20 pics to look at in there

Less is more, don't grind away adding volume to your crankcase/cylinder unless it really counts.
More volume means less velocity, less vacuum and less compression in the low end at the cylinder/crankcase.

Cleaning up/polish and rounding edges goes a long way - and it dont do no harm.
