David Bradley not starting

Hi i have David Bradley 355.83130 that wont start. The saw is getting fuel has compression and spark but its only getting spark to the wire when i hook the wire to the plug i get no spark to the plug. if anybody knows what the problem could be that would be great. I have even tried a spark checker and even the bulb in the spark checker does not light.

My first two guesses: either the plug is a dead short to ground inside, or the wire goes open when you flex it from one position to another.

or do we get three wishes?
