MS460 had an air leak, so I replaced all things rubber and bought a Meteor piston (included caber rings). Attempted to reassemble and it seems to me that the rings are too big. The piston itself seems perfect, but the rings look bigger than old ones, overlap if I put them in the jug, and are sloppy on the piston.
So--is it normal to need to file the end gap w/ Cabers, or did the seller (or Meteor?) just accidentally give me the wrong set of rings? Seller is a good guy & (I believe) a site sponsor, so if they're the wrong rings I'm sure it was just an accident & he'll make it right. I just figured I'd ask the dumb question before I bother the seller. (Who I will not name in public.)
