allright somebody cough up the secret. i know theres only a restriction difference in the 2. i want to know what i would have to change to make it the same as the 372. spike60 get in here and spill the beans.
So far what I have found, and been told here by my saw shop, throw a 372 p&C on a 365, and it will be a 372. They same the frame, and part's are the same.
All be damned. I new that about the older ones but did not realize the change with the new. Make's you wonder why the hell they sell the two, the 365 must be a real good seller I guess. So they just cover more bases in sales.Yes, this is correct on the older ones. The newer versions have the same P/C on both saws, it's just a re-stricter is installed somewhere and once removed they are the same power.
Both the 365 and 372 have the same cylinder. They both have the same Husky part# stamped onto the cylinder on the flywheel side 5219301. The difference is the port covers on the side. There is a baffle in the 365 cover where as the 372 port is totally open. I haven't taken one of the 365 port covers off but you can see it through the plug hole and the casting # for the port covers are different. Hope this eliminates some confusion.
