DIY chains...

Okay now I know I must have a breaker for making my new chains but do I really need a rivet spinner and can I get away with using a pocket chain breaker?

if you are gonna do it do it right.... do you really want a chain flying back at you when you are using it????

The old Swede that worked on my saw for years used a grinder with a punch to break the chains and an anvil with a punch (concaved end) to spin the chains.

Not a chance in hell I'd try making them that way myself, but I sure ran the hell out of his chains without an issue.
