361???

Wouldn't the 361 be in the same class?? I know for dang sure the 361 DOES keep up and have more umph than the 357 and the 5100. Not as fast in small wood, but throw an 18" bar on and dawg in a little bit and you'll see why Stihl has always been the leader in Torque/power. Fastest is the 5100 with the 357 coming in a slight 3rd, however the 357 does have a smidge more torque than the 5100. The thing is both are 1/2hp more than the 5100 though and nearly 10 more cc's... The 5100 is the least expensive of all the saws though, for the extra $200 you'll pay for the husky and $250 for the Stihl, you can buy nearly 2 of the 5100's and get double the life. I took the difference and bought a 510 and a 5100 and only spent an extra $100 on the pair. I doubt the 361 and 357XP will outlast both of the saws. I like all of the saws listed here. Price was the main factor in my choice, as well as reviews, and ME demo-ing the 5100. I LOVE MY 5100!!!! I swear by it. I've only got about 4hrs on it and it's still getting stronger... Of the 3, JUST for speed, in wood say up to 10" it goes 5100/357/361. For torque when dawging in bigger wood 361/357/5100. Exactly backwards... Just my .02...
