Early Stihl 026 w/ 18“ Rollomatic E Bar & Chain
Bought this saw off a farmer lady who knew no history. Serial # 227341763
150 PSI. Starts easily. Runs and Revs. Oiler oozes.
What I did:
1. Drilled tank hole to accept larger, newer fuel line and installed line.
2. Cleaned and rb kit in WT-194 but it kept flooding. Installed AM carb. Wt-194 is included - you may be able to fix it. The AM carb impulse nipple doesn’t seat as deeply as WT-194. I was getting good impulse but it bears watching.
3. AF doesn’t seat well. I had a larger snorkle AF but it hits tank vent.
4. Kill switch spring seems stressed and appears to have been bent. Metal doesn’t hit metal always in kill position. It probably needs new spring and choke rod.
5. Muffler kinda rusty but at 150 PSI, I didn’t pull it to look and clean.
6. Bar looks decent - .325 .063 74DL. ~70% of chain cutters left.
$185 OBO + shipping from 35757.
