Want to Sell Echo 4500 ported

Asking $200 obo plus shipping. Bar and chain is an extra $30
Got this saw as a box of parts and breathed some life into it. It has a carb rebuild, the regular tuneup stuff and a new seal on the flywheel side.
No air leaks, oils as it should
No chain brake. Not sure what happened to it.

I also gave it a mild port job because I could not stand how slow it was.
The original squish was .040 and the numbers were

I did have the cylinder machined and it took the squish down to .021 and after porting the numbers are

And a timing advance
It’s not a race saw but it’ll boogie on through 16” hard and soft.
Comes with an additional seal for the clutch side in case that goes in the future.

I have a video where I bury the bar into a red oak log and then follow with a bore cut. The chain was mildly sharp but could’ve used a couple passes. Apparently the video is too large to upload here so let me know and I can email it to you or something.

Maybe the port cleanup isn't the best question to ask?

Hate to say it but the saw should have the clutch removed, everything inspected, the main crank bearing and the drum bearing checked/washed and the new seal installed. Checking or replacing the clutch springs and oil pump drive is also a very good idea while your in there. Betting the unknown scares people more than the known bits.

I did widen it slightly, shaped the top of the port and put a polish on it.

Solid feedback. Thanks. The clutch was taken off, the clutch bearings greased and inspected ect. I’ll go ahead and replace the seal and wash the bearing. You’re absolutely right. If I’m going to do it I should just do it right and completely the first time.

Not worth the trouble to have zero confidence in a simple seal.
Getting out the oil pump tells others your were just there.
